Julia Roberts Diet and Body

Julia isn't really they type to go on Hollywood's latest fad diets but it has been said she is one of many celebs who tried out the Ashram diet - often used by people wanting to lose weight and tone up quickly for events.

The Ashram Camp is an exclusive spa in California, which is very expensive and has been tried out by many famous stars.

You Eat-A boiled egg for breakfast, green salad for lunch and a baked potato with salsa for dinner.

Exercise-Daily 15 mile hikes, weight training and yoga.

Pros-It is promised you lose 7-15 pounds after one week, of the diet and you'll also be well toned.

Cons- The small diet and exercising can cause dizzy spells and exhaustion and once you start eating normally again the weight will pile back on, if you stop exercising as well.

Other Celeb Fans-Oprah Winfrey stayed at the Ashram camp for a week and Sharon Stone and Cindy Crawford are also fans.

Other Diet and Exercise Info

Julia admitted to gaining about 7 - 10 pounds while filming Eat, Pray, Love.  She said, ?When we were in Naples, we started shooting at 8 in the morning, and I think by 8:45 I?d eaten eight or 10 pieces of pizza.?

?Pizza was what I ate all day. By the time we left Rome, I was seven to 10 pounds heavier. I could?ve used a bigger pair of jeans when I went off to India!?

Julia might have gained more weight while filming if it hadn't been for her training for a half marathon.  ?I trained a lot while I was doing the movie and it was so hot there (in India)," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I think it was to my advantage that I had trained under such dire circumstances.?

In December 2009, she completed the half-marathon in 2 hours, 29 minutes and 47 seconds.

?I ran a half-marathon," she told Oprah. "I was so happy for thirteen-and-a-half miles. Who would have thought that could happen? I just wanted to show my kids the power of a female body is more than just giving birth ? which is a great power.  And my kids were out there and they made me a sign and it was awesome!?

On top of that training, Julia also Pilates, swimming, and has her three kids to run around after.

And now she's finished filming that movie, a healthy eating regime is back in place.
