Going with Gwyneth's simple look, hairstylist Adir Abergel
decided to give her a sleek, simple ponytail.
He began by applying
Fekkai Coiff Ironless Straightening Balm from the roots to ends of her hair
while it was damp.
He then created a deep side part using a comb and blow-dryed
the hair without a brush, making sure to keep the part and desired shape to the
hair.
Next, he flat-ironed the hair until it was completely
smooth, and applied
Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Cream from the roots to the ends to give
the hair extra shine.
He then pulled the hair back as though he was tying a low
ponytail at the nape of the neck but he chose to allow the elastics to show give
the hair a bit of a "raw edge."

Avoid if - You have a
heart or long-shaped face
Gwyneth's sleek Oscar look was created by John Frieda
hairstylist Harry Josh.
He first applied John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight
then blow-dried Gwyneth's hair with a Mason Pearson brush.
Getting Gwyneth's poker-straight look he used a flat-iron
to finish.
And John Frieda Full Repair Flyaway Tamer was used to
remove fly-aways.

Color
- A baby blonde base with golden blonde highlights
Suits - Most face shapes, except long
For this look take a picture to show your hairdresser
exactly what you want, or ask for a bob with an elongated shoulder-length front.
To style, this look requires super-sleek hair.
Apply a little smoothing balm to freshly-washed hair,
create the centre part and blow-dry using a paddle brush.
Run some flat irons over the ends for a perfectly straight
look.

Suits - Long,
or heart shaped faces
Color - Champagne blonde
with a few subtle highlights and streaks of a slightly darker golden blonde
shade
Time - If you have hair
which is very curly and long this could take about an hour, the shorter and
straighter your hair is the less time it will take to achieve
Many people are lucky enough to
have Gwyneth's sleek Oscar style naturally but for curly haired girls it can
take a lot of work.
First wash your hair and apply a
de-frizzing serum once you've towel dried.
Now blow dry your hair using a
large paddle brush and work right down to the ends of the hair.
Once everything is dry you might
have to use some straighteners to smooth out any stubborn kinks. Ceramic
straighteners are best and will help give an extra bit of shine.
Finally create a slight side
parting and tuck one side of your hair behind your ear, then for Gwyneth's look
bring the other side to the front and let it sit naturally.
Later on on the night Gwyneth was
spotted having her hair touched up and spritzed with L'Oreal Elnett Hair Spray.

Suits - Almost any face shape.
Needs - Hair with a slight wave.
To get this look you're best starting with a long free
cut, with lots of choppy natural looking layers.
Wash your hair and apply a strong hold mousse then while
you dry use a round bristle brush to add some texture and volume.
Once completely dry, get some wax and separate the ends of
your hair with your fingers.

Gwyneth's Oscar dress may not have been a hit with everyone but her quirky
plaited hairdo was definitely a winner.
Color- Dark Blonde
Suits- Almost every kind of face, except round.
First of all comb some straightening cream through damp
hair to remove any waves. Try
John Frieda Wind Down Creme.
Then blow-dry your hair straight and comb a small amount
of styling wax through your hair, try Toni & Guy Define It Wax.
Create a side parting and smooth your hair into a low bun
at the back of your head, leaving the large section at the side of the parting
loose.
Plait the loose section into a braid then coil it around
the side of your head and tuck into onto the bun, or wrap it around it.
Finish off the look with a squirt of Charles
Worthington Results Stay In Shape Hair Super spray.
