Mean Girls Make-Up Looks

Cady went through many style changes in the movie but the key elements were always the same - lined eyes, pale lips and rosy cheeks.

Lindsay's make-up artist began by creating a flawless base, using Dr.Hauschka Moisturizing Day Cream and MAC Strobe Cream. Shiseido Foundation in I20 and MAC Select Cover-Up were also used to cover any imperfections and to help contour.

MAC Eyeshadow, in Pink Freeze was applied to the brow bone and MAC Creme Liner, in Black was used to line all around the eyes, as well as the insides.

MAC Fibre Riche Mascara, in Black was used on Lindsay's lashes for a long, volumous look.

The lips had to be kept pale, so as not to overpower the eyes. MAC Lipstick, in Pink Freeze was used. To get Cady's look dab in on with your fingers to keep it natural.

Finally MAC Stain, in Pink Lure was applied to the cheeks to add some healthy colour. Apply it to your apples and a little up the cheekbones for some definition.

Gretchen has the warmest look of all the girls in the movie.

Her skin is bronzed and perfectly highlighted in all the right places. Jane Iredale Golden Glow and Pure Pressed Blush Bronzer were used to create this look.

The eyes are very smoky and require lots of dark brown eye shadow, kohl liner and many coats of mascara. MAC Satin Taupe and Revlon Lash Fantasy Mascara were two of the products used to get Gretchen's look.

For the lips first line them with MAC Lip Pencil, in Spice and fill them in with DuWop Lip Venom.

For Karen's party look you'll need to apply some really long false eyelashes, Sephora Flirt-It Lash Duo is perfect and use some black liquid liner, such as Bourjois Liquid Eyeliner to create a cat like effect on the upper lid. Line the lower lash line too.

Stila Lip Rouge Pen is great for creating this look. Fill in your look and blot to create an almost stained look.

Finish off the look by adding some colour to your cheeks, try out Clinique Touch Blush and dab it all over the apples for a nice healthy flush.

Most of the main Mean Girls look were created with MAC products, so here's a guide for Regina's look using mainly items from the brand as well as a few others-

First, you want to start off by apply some light foundation or concealer where you need it. You don't want a caked on make-up look, just make sure you cover any little flaws.

Try Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer and just dab it on where you need to, cost is $6.49 and it's available in five different shades.

The eyes probably take the most work of Regina's look. Apply a slightly shimmery silver eyeshadow over the lids and a little on the lower lash line too. Also line the lashes but don't go right the way around the eye, stop just about the centre of your iris.

Finish the eyes with a few coats of black curling and lengthening mascara.

Regina has an amazing lip color, not sure of the exact shade but it looks like it could be a pink shaded lipstick (try MAC Lipstick Satin Lipstick) with some MAC Dazzleglass lip gloss on the top. MAC's "Magnetique" Lip Gloss also looks like a similar shade to Regina's.

Finally inject some color to your flawless base with some pink blush such as MAC Powder Blush, in Desert Rose.
