Rita's favourite part of her body was said to be her hands, and one of her trademarks was her look, perfect nails.

Rita took care of her hands, moisturising them regularly.

Back in the '40s it was noted by one reporter, "She probably has the longest fingernails of any actress."  And that was long before the days of fake nails.

Her nails were always perfectly shaped ovals, painted a killer red.
