Audrey has so many iconic hair looks, but perhaps
fighting it out for most iconic along with her gamine crop, is her Breakfast
at Tiffany's hairdo.
The mistake most people make when trying to
recreate this style is thinking it's simply a bun and that never quite matches
up to Audrey's look. If you look at the hair style from the back, you can see
that there's a lot more to it.
Audrey's hair would have been back-combed for
some height at the top, then gathered back into a very secure French pleat which
is tight at the back of the neck, going out as it gets taller and twisting
slightly to create an almost "7" shape, with her hair then piled on top.
Her diamond tiara, and a LOT of strong-hold
hairspray, finishing the look.
Audrey normally kept her hair, her natural dark
brown shade but with Holly Golightly's look she had highlights at the front -
something that was very modern at the time.
