 Audrey Hepburn Make-Up Look

Audrey had a few different make-up looks over the years but this quick guide is for her earlier 1950s Sabrina look.

If you look at pictures of Audrey's early '50s looks, you can see that she had very full brows.  Audrey's brows were naturally full but she also had extra shadow applied to the top, making them even fuller.

Her large eyes were accentuated with a little extra black eyeliner on the top.

Eye shadows were kept to neutral colors and it was usually only mascara on the lashes, Audrey wasn't often seen with false ones.

In the '60s, Audrey tended to go for paler shades of lipstick but in the '50s, red was the shade for everyone.

Lining outside the lips was another common look with most stars, and Audrey was no exception.  Her lips were lined to accentuate the Cupid's bow and add a little more size to her upper and lower lips.

Cheeks were kept very natural and given just a flush of color with a warm-colored powder blush.

Try Rimmel Blush, in Santa Rose, for a similar shade.  A large brush with give a more natural look like Audrey's; only use a smaller brush if you're looking to create some cheekbones or contours.

Audrey Hepburn Make-Up and Beauty Trivia

As muse to Givenchy, Audrey was the inspiration of L'Inderdit Perfume .  The floral mix of rose and jasmine, that was created just for her became available to the public many years later.  The scent and bottle are unchanged from the original creation.

Talking in the book Audrey Style, Kevyn Aucoin said of Audrey's look: "A few tips would be to accentuate the eye-liner on top of the eye, keep the brow full, and use a pale lipstick color.  Those are the three big tips."

It's also said in the book that Audrey used Erno Laszlo products, and washed her face with black soap that cost $25 a bar.
