There aren't actually many
non-black-and-white pictures of Jean but a colorized picture allows a look at
her face and, away from the harsh black and white tones, her look is very soft
and pretty.
As her make-up was regularly done
by Max Factor, make-up from that range has been used to advise on how to
get Jean's look.
To go for Jean's look properly.
you would need to wax off you eyebrows and draw in new ones, with a thin pointed
black, or dark brown eyebrow pencil. Hers are high above the natural brow line
and very elongated.
A
creamy matt foundation should be applied all over your face, even over your lips
- you'll see why later. Also apply some powder to any parts you feel need it,
such as the chin and nose,
Color Adapt Pressed Powder
is perfect for this.
For those big, beautiful eyes
you'll need to apply a dark, smoky eyeshadow all the way over the lid right
along the socket line, use a cotton bud and smudge it in a little, for a more
smouldering look. Long false lashes should then be applied to the top of your
eyes and they should be plied with a coat of mascara.
Finish off the eyes by lining the
inside of bottom lid with a white eye pencil to make them look big and open, and
line the bottom lash line with some of your eyeshadow, or a kohl pencil.
A brown-red lipstick should now
be applied using a lip brush, don't follow your natural lip line though, just
emphasize the two points of the top lip and the curve of the bottom lip
following thinly onto the corners of both lips for Jean's Cupid's bow effect,
the foundation applied earlier should hide the bits you've left out. Try
Lipfinity
to achieve this look.
For a little extra color
use the largest face brush you can find to sweep some rosy-colored powder blush
all over your face but more so on the fleshy part of your cheeks.
Satin Blush ,
in Vintage Wine, is a great shade for this.
Et voila, you should have a fab
Harlow look.
