Back in the '50s and '60s
(excluding her Cleopatra look) Elizabeth had a nice, versatile make-up
look, which wasn't too over the top -
Her eyes are the key feature
here, to get the look, first you should make a frame for them with your
eyebrows.
Elizabeth had a strong, defined
brow so pluck them into an arch, following your brow's natural shape so it's
heavy at the start and thin at the end.
For the defined look, use an eye
pencil, which matches your hair color to help you create a stronger shape, only
do this if you feel you have to, otherwise your brow might end up too
strong.
You should now line the top and
bottom lashes with a charcoal pencil, then get a smoky grey eyeshadow and cover
your eyelid with it; using a Q-tip, or your fingers, blend it in ever so
slightly.
Now for the tricky part get a
black liquid eyeliner and line the top lid, giving a slight little kick at the
end (again not too much, or you might end up with Elizabeth's Cleopatra look).
Finish off with a coat of thickening mascara on ashes.
To get Elizabeth's cute little
pout line your lips with a liner in a close shade to your lipstick. The lipstick
should be creamy, not too matt, and a dark pink shade with a hint of red.
Since the eyes and lips are both
very bold the cheeks are kept subtle. Get a blusher which is just a few shades
darker than your skin tone and dust it lightly up and along your cheekbones.
