There are a whole variety of
blonde shades from the almost white platinums and bleached-blonde
looks, soft baby blondes, warmer golden blondes and the darker honey
tones.
Ash Blonde - Ash is made up of
various shades of blonde giving it a textured, multi-tone look.
Baby Blonde - Seen on people like
Paris Hilton and Sara Paxton this is the classic California blonde color.
Dirty Blonde - Blonde with brown
tones - usually natural rather than dyed. Jennifer Aniston's usual color
when she's not a Hollywood blonde. Best for people who are a little too
scared too go all blonde, or want to work their way up to full-on blonde.
Golden Blonde
- January Jones (right) is a perfect example of this shade. This is the
most yellow blonde and is better for pale skin.
Honey Blonde
- Best for olive, darker skin tones - this is Jennifer Lopez's chosen shade for
when she's gone blonde.
Ice Blonde - A step above pale
platinum this shade is like Golden Blonde but the yellow isn't so strong.
Platinum Blonde
- This almost-white blonde, seen on Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and the
original platinum blonde Jean Harlow is usually used to describe bleached hair.
It's best for shorter styles due to the damage that can be caused by bleaching.
