Marisa opted for a glam volumized ponytail for her Oscar night look.

Start by backcombing a bit of height into the style. Then create your slight side-parting, combing the hair on the smaller side of the part back, while leaving the front of the other side loose.

Pull the rest of the hair back into a high ponytail.

Use the same back-combing technique on the length of the ponytail to increase its bulk.

Finish off by squirting some firm-hold hairspray generously over the finished style.

 

Attending a pre-Super Bowl event, Marisa wore her hair in this low-maintenance, messy-but-pretty style.

To get this look, create a parting of your choice, then gather your hair at the back into a ponytail, but don't secure it at the top.

Pull the ponytail to the front and create a wide, loose plait.  Don't take the plait all the way to the end (unless you want a schoolgirl look), and secure it a few inches from the bottom using an elastic.

The key for this style is nothing should be too tight, smooth or pristine.  Marisa has left lots of hair loose for movement, and to frame her face.

If your after an extra glam touch, take a few of the loose sections and wrap the ends around a curling iron for some bouncy curls.

Beachy-style waves are Marisa's trademark style but when she's going on the red carpet, she usually opts for a more glossy, refined version of the look.

Get the look applying a small amount of styling lotion to damp hair the blow-dry using a large round brush to add a volume and bounce boost.

Spray on some styling spray through the length of your hair and use some medium to large sized curling irons to create Marisa's polished curls.

Take the curling iron only up to about eye length, and don't worry to much about getting the ends wrapped around the curlers - if you look at Marisa's, the ends aren't so curly.

After you've curled all the way around, run your fingers through to break up some sections, then finish with a mist of style-holding spray.
