For the star-studded event, Liv
was styled by David Babaii.
To create the style, David used
FHI HEAT Large-Barrel Curling Irons.
He created a side parting, just
above the highest point of Liv's eyebrow. He then sectioned
the hair into four sections - top, nape, and one each side.
Before curling he spray some of
his
Volcanic Ash Root Lift onto
each strand, then, after curling, he would pin each curl so it would
have better hold.
Once the curls cooled, the pins
were removed and the hair was brushed through with fingers.
David finished by tucking one
side behind the ear then spraying with
Mise en Plis Extra Hold Styling Spray.

The Look - Glam side-plait
Liv's side plait style looks fairly simple but
with it's full volume, it can be a little tricky to achieve unless
you've got lots of hair or thick extensions.
To get this style, begin by applying a volumizing
mousse into damp hair. You can blow-dry with a round brush if
you need to, or leave it to dry naturally which will encourage some
volume.
Once the hair is dry, back-combing is key.
Boost the volume at the crown and roots then gather the hair, ready
to create your side plait.
Tease the hair throughout the length to increase
the volume then create your plait - tying it loosely rather than
plaiting it tight.

Look - Ultra-glam ponytail
Apply some frizz-reducing mousse
or serum to the top of your hair and the roots while damp.
Blow-dry straight and once
completely dry, brush your hair smooth and tug-free, and pull into a
ponytail at the back of your head, securing with a band of your
choice.
Take sections of your ponytail,
quite large, thick ones at a time*, and use a medium-large sized
curling iron wrapping it up the length of the ponytail.
If you want the curls to hold,
allow them to set and cool.
Finish by gently
running a brush through the pony to bring the curls together and use
a light mist of hairspray for hold.
*This is important otherwise
you'll be left with a ponytail full of corkscrew curls rather than a
more romantic glam one like Liv's.
