Amanda's Oscars hairstyle was
created by John Frieda hairstylist Harry Josh.
Amanda's hair was washed with
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start
Hydrating Shampoo
and Conditioner as the frizz-fighting formula was essential
for her sleek, silky look.
When her hair was damp,John
Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Gel
was applied to the roots, then the hair was blow-dried.
Harry used a tail comb rather than a round brush to avoid lift and
get the smoother look he was going for by combing Amanda's hair flat
to the head as he dried.
Once dry,
Sheer Blonde Style Crystal Clear Shape &
Shimmer Hairspray
was sprayed onto the hair section by section to hold the style.
An extreme, side part was
created and Amanda's hair was pulled back into a ponytail at the
back of the head, which was wrapped around and secured into a bun
with some hair pins. The ends of the ponytail were left
sticking out in a slight fan shape. This was a last minute
decision made by Harry to reflect the pattern of Amanda’s earrings.
