Hair Styles -
Extra Long Length
|
|
Super-long hair here is defined as
falling below the bust. Most of the styles featured were
created using extensions or temporary add-ins - if known it will be
stated.
|

Color- Dark brown base with top layers and streaks of golden
blonde.
Suits- Almost every kind of face
shape.
Good For - All hair types.
For Victoria's long haired look start off
by blow-drying your hair.
Use some large tongs to create your curls, just
taking them up to above ear level,
leaving the top part of your hair straight.
Curl all the
way around, except for a few pieces at the front - Victoria has left a few
straight sections around her face, which help to frame it; you might want to
use some straightening irons on these for Victoria's look.
When you're happy, create a centre parting
and add a little boost to the roots with some gentle back
combing.
Finish with a quick spray of
lacquer.

Suits
- Most face shapes Color - Light
brown base with lots of ash and baby blonde highlights throughout
For this look apply some styling cream to damp
hair and blow-dry straight with a paddle brush.
Create a side parting and clip just the very
front of the larger side back above the arch of the eyebrow.
To create the curls, use a large-barrelled
curling iron, holding it vertically while wrapping large sections
around the barrel, holding in place for about 15 seconds.
Finish with a mist of flexible-hold hairspray.

Colour - Ice Blonde
Suits - Almost every face shape.
For this look ask your hairdresser to give
you a long eye skimming fringe and also a few layers around your face.
To style blow-dry your hair and sweep your
fringe to the side like Paris. Take one section of hair at a time and wrap it
around some medium, to large sized tongs, to leave some pretty curls.
Finish of the look with a spritz of
hairspray all over.

Suits - Almost any face shape
Seen At - The Comic-Con in July 2011
For Nina's gorgeous glossy
look, first spray on some shine spray to damp hair before blow-drying
with a round brush.
If you have curly hair try
Moroccanoil Treatment which is great for natural curls and adds
shine too.
Towards the ends of the hair,
use the brush to add some movement and turn the hair out but if that
doesn't provide you with quite enough curl use some large barrelled
curling irons on wide sections, adding some subtle curl and bounced
out shape.
Create your side part and
sweep all hair to one side for Nina's complete look.

The
Look - Thick side-plait
Nicole's side plait style looks fairly simple but
with it's full volume, it can be a little tricky to achieve unless
you've got lots of hair or thick extensions.
To get this style, begin by applying a volumizing
mousse into damp hair. You can blow-dry with a round brush if
you need to, or leave it to dry naturally which will encourage some
volume.
Once the hair is dry, back-combing is key.
Boost the volume at the crown and roots then gather the hair, ready
to create your side plait.
Tease the hair throughout the length to increase
the volume then create your plait - tying it loosely rather than
plaiting it tight.

Seen at - The 2011 Do
Something Awards in August 2011 Kim’s sleek
ponytail do is fairly simple if you've
got naturally straight hair; just create your part and slick it back into a high ponytail
then secure.
For naturally curly or wavy hair, though, it
takes a little more work -
Apply a little straightening balm to hair then
blow-dry with a paddle brush - creating a centre part and smoothing
out all kinks.
For a super sleek finish you could also use a straightening iron
- especially on the ends.
Once straight, pull the hair into a high ponytail
and secure with a discreet elastic.
For a fab finishing touch, spray a glossing
spray over the style for some added shine .

Suits - Most face shapes
For Khloe's usual glam long curl style, apply a little volumizing gel to damp
hair then, blow-dry using a large round brush to smooth, and add a little
movement at the roots.
Once dry,
set the hair into small-medium rollers, going up to about jaw-length.
After the rollers are removed and
broken up with the fingers, enhance a few curls
with a large-barrel curling iron and set with
L'Oreal Texture Infinium 3
to hold the curls in place throughout the night.

For this look, most of the length will be tied
together so straightening and blow-drying isn't an absolute must.
Gather all your hair as if making a low ponytail
at the back then sweep it round to one side. If you have some
shorter lengths or layers that fall down around the side that's okay
- this style doesn't have to look perfect.
Create a loose fishtail braid in the length of
the ponytail.
Leave a little length loose at the bottom and use
a discreet elastic to secure the braid in place
Going uber glam, Blake added a gold hair
adornment into her hair; get the look with the

The Look - Polished beach waves
Seen at - The 2010 MTV Movie Awards
Creating this style, begin by applying
some heat protection spray to wet hair then blow-dry using a round brush to
boost a little height at the top and create a smooth, polished base in the hair.
Use some medium-large sized
curling irons to create the waves. Lindsay's curls are in
various widths and go up to different heights so do try and get
every curl perfectly the same.
Once you've created curls
you're happy with, use a little shining texturizer to separate your
waves.
John Freida's Tousled
Tresses Fine-Mist
Wax is great for
adding some beachy texture.

Wearing her hair up to show off her stunning
Versace gown to full effect, Blake opted for this plaited style.
The look was created by Renato Campora who first
applied
Fekkai Coiff Strong Hold Volume Mousse
to Blake's wet hair.
Next, he blow-dried her hair smooth and applied
the
Fekkai Coiff Extra Control Styling Gel
to prep before teasing it up into a high ponytail.
A few extensions were added to the ponytail to
give Blake's look extra length and drama for the night. Then
the ponytail was braided down the length and fastened at the end.

Renato then applied
Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light
Finishing Creme
throughout the look for a smooth and sleek finish.

AnnaLynne
is a naturally curly girl but if you've not got her curls, you can still
recreate her fab look from the Burlesque premiere for yourself.
Run some curl-defining spray, or curling gel
through your wet hair and blow-dry. Use a diffuser if you can as it will
help lift the hair, and leave it with less frizz.
Now the tricky part, using a one-inch curling
iron, curl small sections of hair, going right the way up to the root, until
entire head is done. This isn't so much tricky, as it is boring after
doing about one side of your head.
When finished apply lots of strong hold
hairspray to keep the curls in place.
If you feel any are too ringlet-y just run
your fingers through them - don't brush, as you might end up turning all your
curls straight again.

At - The 2011 Academy AwardsFor her fun, fliry
Oscars ponytail look, Reese was styled by Renato Campora of Frederick Fekkai.
To create the style, he began by applying
Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel, and
Fekkai Ironless Silky Straight Smooth Finish Serum to her hair
After blow-drying with a
round brush, Reese' hair was then divided the hair into two parts - top and
bottom - with the top section being pulled into a high ponytail at the back of
the head.
The bottom of each section
was then rolled up using 1 1/2 inch curling irons to create some bouncy
curls.
He back-combed a little to
give the top of the ponytail more volume, then secured the look with hair spray.

The
Look - Long side plaitSeen at
- An event in January 2011
For a smooth, polished looking base like
Jessica's, first blow-dry your hair using a paddle brush.*
Create a deep side-part on whichever side you
prefer and sweep all hair across to one side.
Leave some hair loose to frame the face, then
braid the rest into a wide plait before securing at the end with a
hair elastic.
This is a great look but isn't too pristine , so
don't worry too much if your plait has loose sprigs etc.
Jessica's has them but she still looks great.
*If your hair is naturally straight you might not
feel the need to do this.

Time - If you have hair
which is very curly and long this could take about an hour, the shorter and
straighter your hair is the less time it will take to achieve
Many people are lucky enough to
have Gwyneth's sleek Oscar style naturally but for curly haired girls it can
take a lot of work.
First wash your hair and apply a
de-frizzing serum once you've towel dried.
Now blow dry your hair using a
large paddle brush and work right down to the ends of the hair.
Once everything is dry you might
have to use some straighteners to smooth out any stubborn kinks. Ceramic
straighteners are best and will help give an extra bit of shine.
Finally create a slight side
parting and tuck one side of your hair behind your ear, then for Gwyneth's look
bring the other side to the front and let it sit naturally.
Later on on the night Gwyneth was
spotted having her hair touched up and spritzed with L'Oreal Elnett Hair Spray.

The Look - Fishtail Braid
Best For - Non-layered hair, lots of different
lengths in the hair can make this look a bit messy.
Papped out in late 2010, casual-looking Rihanna sported a
fishtail braid.
The fishtail style is probably the most complicated braid
if you've never done one before, so don't be put off if it doesn't turn out
right the first time - here's a few tips for getting the look.
Brush your hair through then gather it all in front of one
of your shoulders - it's easier for a right-hander to put it over the left
shoulder and vice-versa.
Divide the hair into two equal parts, hold one of the
sections between the middle and index finger, and the other between the middle
and ring finger of your less dominant hand.
Use your free hand for the braid creating. Take a
small section from the outside of the first part and place it in the section
held by your other fingers.
Now, pick up the same amount from the outside of the other
section and put it into the first (sounds complicated, right? If you check
out youtube you can find a few videos of people doing it - this still is much
easier to understand demonstrated than written out). Continue alternating
the strands from each section to the other until you're happy with the length of
the braid, then secure with a band of your choice.

Leave some hair loose to frame the face, then

discreet hair elastic.
Isabeli had some extensions added to her ponytail
for extra length and thickness.
This look is very dishevelled so it doesn't
matter if some hair come free from the plait or at the back.
*You can also enhance some light texture and wave
by applying a little texturising spray onto your hands and
scrunching to create some waves at the top of the style before
working on the plait.
