Dark brown hair that isn't quite almost-black is better
for tan or olive skin. Pale and cool colorings are better going for the
almost-black shades.
Browse through some hairstyles according to color, and
ordered by length.

Best For - Again, this
works better for natural curls or waves.
Color - Dark brown

Screen Actors Guild Awards
Another of Halle's cropped
looks; this one is a little shorter but still with enough length to
allow the hairs curls to show.
For Halle's hair type, this is
a simple style to create. Run some wax through the hair with
your fingers, while it's dry, separating the curls and adding some
definition to the natural curls.

Seen At - Katie sported this round bob style in
early 2009
For the cut it's best to take a picture to your
hairdresser so they know exactly what you're looking for.
This bob also looks good with natural waves and texture
but for Katie's super sleek look, create a deep side part and apply a little
styling mousse to damp hair.
Blow-dry with a medium-size round brush -
boosting the height at the top, straightening the length, then turning under
ever so slightly at the bottom for a neat finish.
For a super-polished touch, use some smoothing balm to dab
down any frizzy hairs - not to much though or it might look a little greasy.

Cheryl's look as of late-2009 when she
ditched her long extensions in favour of this fresher tousled look.
Color - Dark Brown
Suits - Most face shapes
To style this look needs lots of texture so
add some volumising mousse or spray to the roots of damp hair.
Apply to medium-large sized velcro rollers,
rolling up to the roots for volume. For some extra curl and kick at the ends you
might also want to use a curling iron to curl some sections - holding the tongs
for about 10 seconds to lock the wave in place.
Once dry, gently remove the rollers and
secure your new waves and curls with hairspray.

Suits - Most face shapes but avoid if
you have a wide or square shaped face
Seen At - The May 2010 Premiere of The Prince of
Persia
First, create your curls using a medium-large
hot-rollers, taking them right up to the roots. Don't worry
about trying to get a perfect finish to them, since they'll be
getting pinned up anyway.
After creating your curls, collect all your hair
and tie it in a high ponytail - don't make it too tight though, you
still want volume and movement at the roots.
Take sections of the ponytail and loosely pin them up around the
base ponytail, and onto the back of the head. Again,
don't worry about trying to get a perfect finish. You can see
in Gemma's pic she has a few loose sprigs and ends.
Once you're happy everything is secure, finish with a light mist of
hairspray.

- Best for oval faces
Seen At - The September 2010 Premiere of Tamara Drewe
Gemma kept it low-key for her
premiere, going for a simple but glossy ponytail look.
Creating this style should be
simple if your hair is naturally straight but if not, applying some
shine-enhancing balm or serum and blow-dry - especially at the
roots.
Make a slight centre parting
then gather the hair into a ponytail that's just above ear height -
it was nothing flashy for Gemma to secure it in place; she used a
band that matched her hair color.
You don't have to worry about
the ends of the ponytail - Gemma's hair is mainly smooth but she
does have some slight waves and curls in her ponytail.
Finish using some smoothing
serum to go over any frizzes or flyaway hairs at the roots, sides
etc.

At the National TV Awards in January 2010
Cheryl wore up her cute cut in a glam up-do.
Best For - Mid-length or layered hair
to give the perfect length of loose curls at the front.
Color - Dark Brown
To get the look tong your hair all the way
around, doing it by about one-inch sections at a time.
Now take your curls (leaving a few loose at
the front) and use hairpins to grip them up into a bun. This is a glam look but
not too precise or fussy, it's okay if a few parts are a little messy or loose
as the bun doesn't need to be really neat.
Finish with a good spritz of hairspray.

The Look - Beautiful side-swept bun
Seen At - The 2011 MET Institute Gala
Creating her gorgeous look, Ashley was styled by
Ted Gibson, who began by applying
Ted Gibson Hairsheet all over Ashley’s damp hair, to give it
volume and shine.
Next, he used a brush, dividing the hair into
1 ½ inch sections before using a flat iron to create soft waves.
He created a deep side part, then pulled all
her hair to one side, securing it with a bungee elastic, before
twisting the hair onto itself to create a chignon look.
A spray of
Ted Gibson Beautiful Hold Hairspray finished her look.

At - The 2011 Academy AwardsMila's lovely Oscar
up-do was created by Tresseme stylist Mara Roszak, who gave Talking Make-Up a
quick guide on recreating Mila's look.
First run some
Tresemme Naturals Mousse to wet hair and rough dry it before creating
a parting on one side.
Use a one-inch barrel curling iron to wave the hair away
from the face. Separate the waves by running your fingers through them.
Pull the hair on the larger side of the parting out to
sweep over one eye and tuck the ends over the ears.
Pull the rest of the hair back into a loose chignon at the
nape of the neck, keeping it in place with some hairpins.

Finish the look with
Tresemme Naturals Finishing Spray which should provide the style with
lovely soft hold.

Color-
Dark, glossy brown.
Suits- Oval, or long faces.
Good For- Straight hair, or hair
with a loose curl, or wave.
Start with a long layered cut, with bangs
and long layers around the face.
If you have straight hair apply some styling mousse while it's
damp and use a hot air styling brush, such as Nicky Clarke's Hot Air Styling
Brush, to give it bounce, especially at the bottom.
If you have curly or wavy hair blow-dry
while its damp, with some straightening balm, before beginning the steps above.
Finish of the style with a liberal spray
of one of Elizabeth's hair favourites
L'Oreal Elnett hair spray.

 Suits - Best on oval
face shapes
Color - Dark brown
Seen At - The 2010 Cannes Film
Festival
Best For - Hair with natural waves
or curls
Begin creating a very slight side-parting
- Camilla's hair is so thick, you barely see hers - and back-comb the
different sections of the hair to add some volume and height. You want a lot
especially at the crown and in the front.
Using a natural bristle brush, smooth
your hair as you gather it all into a ponytail at the back.
Now for the tricky part; holding the
ponytail in one hand, hold your other hand above it and twist the ponytail
around the width of two of your fingers to create a loop.
Continue with the loop until there is
no hair left to twist around your fingers and you should be left with
something similar to a French twist at the back of your head. Secure
this in place with a some pins or a large clip just below the top of the
loop your ponytail creates.
When your happy that everything at the
back is secure, work the loop into a wider shape.
Finish with a lot of strong
hold hairspray and pat down any loose flyaway or frizzy hairs at the
sides.

The
Look - Full-bodied waves
Seen at - The 2010 World Premiere of
Valentine's Day
Styled by Adir Abergel, Jennifer's hair was first
prepped with
Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Lifting Hairspray
applied at the roots.
Jennifer's fringe was blow-dried with a round
brush, but the rest of her hair was then dried using the hands
rather than a brush; creating texture and bringing out any natural
waves.
Once dry, use a one-inch curling iron to curl the
hair out for the direction of the face while leaving the ends
straight or with their natural wave - doing this right around the
head.

Once curled, Adir mixed
Fekkai Coiff Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray
with
Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme
and applied it to the ends with his hands, to create a tousled look.
Finally, for all-evening hold, he used
Fekkai Coiff
Sheer Hold Hairspray
across the whole style.

Roszak, who began by appling
Tresemme 24 Hour Body
Foaming Mousse
to Mila's wet hair.
After creating a slightly off-center
parting, she blew dry the hair with a medium-sized round brush.
Mara then sectioned off Mila's hair, and
used a one-inch barrel curling iron to create her gorgeous curls. When finished,
she broke them up a little with her fingertips for a more natural look.
The look was complete with a spray of
TressemeTres Two Extra Hold Hair Spray.

Megan's gorgeous GG look was created by
hairstylist Andy Lecompte.
He started by applying
Phyto Professional Volume Mousse
to Megan's hair before blow drying.
Her hair was then set using a 3/4-inch barrel
curling iron and then pin curls.
Once the pin curls were released, he
brushed out the hair using a Sheila Stotts detangling brush and
created Megan's deep side parting.
A dab of
Oribe Gel Serum was then
applied with the fingertips and the hair was styled into place.

Here's a how-to guide for
Victoria's low-maintenance up-do look from the December 2010
Hollywood Style Awards -
Apply some styling
lotion - one such as
Got 2B's Guardian Angel Blow-Out Lotion
will help give a shiny finish - to your hair while it's damp.
Use a paddle
brush and blow-dry your hair straight with each stroke.
Once dry, create
a part down the middle; then pull all your hair together as
though your creating a loose, low ponytail - don't tie it
though, instead, sweep the length high up to the back of your
head and twist until the hair forms a loose bun.
Pin the bun
loosely, don't make it too tight.
For a glam touch
use a curling iron on any tendrils you've left loose around your
face.
Finish with a
spritz of finishing spray to lock in your style.

In late 2009 Nicole went back to her natural
brunette color and at a signing for her
Winter Kate clothing range in February 2010 she rocked a fab wavy boho-chic
look.
Nicole's colorist, George Papanikolas, told In
Style that her new shade wasn't exactly an overnight impulse. "We have gradually
been going darker over the last few months—from blonde, to dark ash blonde, then
brown with golden tips and finally this rich sable brown."
For the cut print out this pic and take it to
your hairdresser or ask for a cut with long, soft layers and a full, feathered
fringed.
To style mist damp hair with some texturizing
spray, if you hair has natural waves this look should be pretty easy - just run
you fingers through, but if you have straight hair create the care-free waves
with a small curling iron and break up the curls with your fingers. Don't be too
precise or worry that some parts are wavier than others when creating your curls
- it's all the better for a natural look.
Finish with a spritz of hairspray.

Seen - At an event in June
2010
For this glossy look, first apply
some shine-enhancing products into freshly-washed hair.
Part the hair slightly in the
middle, and blow-dry using a paddle brush - avoid using a round
brush as that would give this look unnecessary height.
After blow-drying use some
curling irons to create the gorgeous ringlets. Take sections
of hair, roughly about 2-inches at a time - and hold the iron
vertically as you wrap the hair around - going up to about
ear-height. Hold for around 15 seconds before releasing.
Once you've curled all the way
around; brush the hair at the top of the head smooth and gather a
small section at the centre of the back of the head, securing with a
clip of your choice - as plain or as fancy as you like.
Finish with a little mist of
L'Oreal Flexible Hold Hairspray to help keep the curls in place.

Suits - Most face shapes
Color - Dark brown with
highlights in a lighter shade of brown
Seen At - The August
2010 Teen Choice Awards
Starting with freshly-washed hair,
towel-dry till it's damp, then spritz on some shine spray.
Blow-dry with a large round
brush, creating some volume at the roots and crown.
Create your parting and gently
backcomb the the crown for a little height at the back.
For those tumbling curls use
large hot rollers, wrapping them up to about ear height and away
from the direction of the face. Let the rollers cool as you go
some the curl will hold.

Suits - Almost any face shape
Seen At - The Comic-Con in July 2011
For Nina's gorgeous glossy
look, first spray on some shine spray to damp hair before blow-drying
with a round brush.
If you have curly hair try
Moroccanoil Treatment which is great for natural curls and adds
shine too.
Towards the ends of the hair,
use the brush to add some movement and turn the hair out but if that
doesn't provide you with quite enough curl use some large barrelled
curling irons on wide sections, adding some subtle curl and bounced
out shape.
Create your side part and
sweep all hair to one side for Nina's complete look.

The
Look - Long side plaitSeen at
- An event in January 2011
For a smooth, polished looking base like
Jessica's, first blow-dry your hair using a paddle brush.*
Create a deep side-part on whichever side you
prefer and sweep all hair across to one side.
Leave some hair loose to frame the face, then
braid the rest into a wide plait before securing at the end with a
hair elastic.
This is a great look but isn't too pristine , so
don't worry too much if your plait has loose sprigs etc.
Jessica's has them but she still looks great.
*If your hair is naturally straight you might not
feel the need to do this.
