Amy’s sleek up-do is fairly simple if you've
got naturally straight hair; just slick it back into a high ponytail
and secure.
For naturally curly or wavy hair follow the
guide to what Amy's stylist Adir Abergel did -
Frederic Fekkai Coiff
Controle Ironless
Straightening Balm
was applied to Amy's hair from the roots to then ends.
Some
Frederic Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting &
Texturizing Spray Gel
was also applied at the hair line.
Next, he
blow-dried the hair straight with a round brush.
Using a straightening iron, he sealed the ends
too.
Her hair was then pulled into a high ponytail
which was secured with an elastic band.
In a finishing touch, he sprayed
Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Sheer
Shine Mist for some added shine .

Seen At - The 2011 Golden Globe Awards
Amy’s Golden Globes look was
created by Laini Reeves who first washed it with
Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
which helped to make her naturally thick hair smoother and
frizz-free.
MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream
was then applied as her hair dried.
To create texture her hair was
rough-dried by hand. It was all air-dried except for the roots
which were blow-dried.
Next, a one-inch curling iron
was used to make curls in different parts of the hair that needed to
be filled in.
A side part was created then
Laini prepared some pieces from the front of the hair to frame Amy's
face, using some pins to hold them away from the hair and in a waved
“S”-shape - you'll remove these later.
The rest of the hair was
gathered and pulled back where is made a loose braid that was
doubled up and rolled up to be pinned at the nape of the neck, with
the cross texture side of the braid showing. Only five thick bobby
pins were used on Amy to secure the style in place but you should
definitely use a few more if you feel you need to - you don't want
to be worrying it might come loose.

The “S”-shaped sections that
were created earlier were removed to leave Amy's
romantic falling curls, and, as a final touch, the style was sprayed
with
MoroccanOil Luminous Hair Spray.

Start with smooth hair, especially at the
roots - preferably blow-dried but it's not too important.
Use a small-medium sized curling iron to
create some random curls, taking them up to about ear height.
Make a centre parting and pull your hair
back (leaving a little loose at the front like Amy's) into a high ponytail,
securing it with a discreet elastic band.
Now take your curls and pink them loosely
up and around the base of the ponytail. Don't worry about pinning the ends
into place - if you look at Amy's pic, some of hers have been left loose.
Once your happy with how the curls feel -
and you may want to ask someone else how it looks as it can be awkward to see
yourself - finish with some hairspray to pat down any fly-aways and keep
everything in place.

For Amy's fab
romantic up-do, first, spritz on some volumising spray then
blow-dry.
Use large-barrel
curling irons (or large velcro or hot rollers, whichever
you prefer) to curl the hair.
Loosen the curls by running your fingers
through them.
Tease the roots into a style your happy
with and, leaving a few tendrils loose at the front, pull the hair back into a
high, loose ponytail.
Divide the ponytail into sections, lightly
twisting each one and pinning it up.
If your face framing strands need a little curl boost,
take the curling irons to them again, then finish with a good misting of hairspray
hair spray.
